Using the modified atmosphere (MAP) technology in packing is one of the most effective ways to protect and preserve the food products. As the air in the packaging is replaced by mixed gas, it can completely remove microorganisms developed during packaging, which in turn would improve longer product shelf life. Medium barrier films – PA/PE – can be used for food packaging both in vacuum as well as in modified atmosphere (MAP). The film can be widely applied in case of the following products: chilled fresh meat, ham and smoked meat, fish and ready-to-eat meals.
